The coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc for months, affecting the world in a multitude of ways.

The Class of 2020, in particular, is a group of people who are missing out on traditional graduation activities, including a graduation ceremony.

Proms, banquets, and a variety of other traditional events have been canceled, leaving this year's graduating class without the memories shared by those of us who have already graduated.

Fortunately, many schools in our region have opted to conduct graduation ceremonies outdoors, according to permissions granted by Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

I am hopeful that all outdoor graduations are successful and will give students a memorable experience that will last a lifetime. Graduation is only one of the events affected by the coronavirus for students in the Class of 2020.

As a small gesture to honor the Class of 2020, we're featuring groups of students from area schools. Today, we are introducing you to some of the students in Lubbock High School's Class of 2020 as submitted by our listeners.

Congratulations, Lubbock High School Class of 2020!
