Texas Mom Gave Kids Pot, Beer at Party, Police Say

A Texas mom tried a little too hard to be the "cool mom" at a recent sleepover. Police say 32-year-old Mandy Nichole Wells gave beer and weed to kids between the ages of 12 and 14 years old at a party at her Springtown house earlier this month.

Police say Wells, who sounds like she could use some friends her own age, first gave the party-goers two beers each and then brought out a couple of marijuana pipes, packed them up and then passed them around.

According to Bossip.com, Wells offered the middle-schoolers the weed in a Hello Kitty pipe. Perhaps it was something like this one below?

Fox 4 News reported that Wells told police she didn't think her behavior was so terrible because all of the kids were spending the night at her house. Not that she would have had to worry about the 12-year-olds driving anyway. Police said they were tipped off to Wells' party spread when the children began posting photos of it on Instagram and their parents grew concerned.
