New Food Truck Brings ‘Heavenly’ Burgers to Lubbock
Looking for a new burger joint to try on your next lunch break? We got you covered. The new Nirvana Burger food truck is a new option that may satisfy that craving.
Serving up burgers, fries and far-out vibes is their motto, and I would say that's pretty accurate.
I made the trip all the way out to their food truck, located at 16204 Loop 493 (just down the road from Caprock Winery). While I was there, I got the chance to speak with Andrew Hill, who owns the food truck with his wife, Jewel.
The menu consists of six burger options that all come with a side of fries. It's a simple menu, but provides some good variety. You also have a custom burger option so you can build it any way you like. They have one dessert item listed: the Special Brownie. What makes it special? The owner told me that they are simply chocolate brownies, but I'm still going to need to try them out to see if that’s really the case.
When asked about their menu, Hill described their food as “made fresh right there when you order it." He added that they "use quality ingredients" and that the burgers are "made with love."
If you want to know a bit more about what they're serving, then I suggest you stop by in person, as the menu is a bit tough to find online. Or you can hit them up on their Instagram page.
Vegetarians, beware: this is not the joint for you. Unfortunately, there are no options for those who prefer a meatless option. However, Hill mentioned that they may consider adding a substitute such as Beyond Beef of the Impossible Burger down the road if they're able to do so.
Nirvana Burger is officially open every Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. If you're hankering for a burger and you are okay going a bit out of town, Nirvana Burger might be the place for you.
