Oklahoma Man Arrested in Lubbock on Multiple Sexual Abuse Charges

An Oklahoma man was arrested in Lubbock after serious allegations of sexual abuse. The incident is said to have occurred back on June 8, 2022 in Fairview where local law enforcement was contacted. An underage girl told Fairview Police Officer's that a family member, now known as 33-year-old Alfred Erwin Thomas Jr., had rubbed his hands over her exposed private areas more than six times.

KAMC news reports that Thomas first started touching the victim inappropriately was in January of 2022 while she was lying down in his vehicle. Another reported incident is said to have occurred last April while both Thomas and the child victim were on an air mattress together. The Fairview Police Department does state in their warrant for Thomas' arrest that they were made aware of the situation back in June 2022.

Thomas was charged with Child Sexual Abuse and Child Sexual Abuse of a Child Under 12 which are both felonies in the state of Texas. In Oklahoma both of those charges are also considered felonies with the same severe penalties along with very heavy fines against the abuser if they are convicted.

Thomas is currently being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond but is waiting to be extradited back to Oklahoma. According to the Lubbock County Detention jail roster Thomas' charges are listed as a Fugitive Warrant/Oklahoma If Thomas is convicted for his crimes it could result in 14 years to a life time sentence in prison separately in Oklahoma along with a very serious fine.
