It's been almost 30 years since Olivia Newton-John released "Physical" .and in a new interview, she says she almost decided NOT to put it out because it was so naughty.

Olivia says, "I had a bit of a panic session. I went, 'Oh my God! I can't put this out. It's way too radical! What are people going to think of me?'

"I said to my manager, 'You've got to pull it.  It's too cheeky.' And he said, 'It's too late, it's gone to radio.' Of course, it went to #1 in like four weeks.  I've learned to live with it."

Here's the workout-themed "Physical" video.  Which is truly NOTHING by today's standards:

Yeah. Everyone knows sex sells. That's why we have barely legal kids pushing the envelope with their lyrics, songs, costumes and performances. But Olivia wasn't that young when she released "Physical". She was 33.

So was Olivia a little overly paranoid? Or is it a sign of the times that I can't think of a contemporary singer in their early 30s who would be risking anything by putting out a song like "Physical"?
