1 Person Wounded in West Lubbock Shooting
Lubbock Police were in the 5700 block of 50th Street on Thursday (January 3rd), responding to a reported shooting.
KFYO reached out to the Lubbock Police Department Friday morning and received an update from Public Information Officer Tiffany Pelt.
One person was shot Thursday night, Pelt confirmed. The victim, a 20-year-old man, was found with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Early reports said his injury was not life-threatening.
Responding officers were given "inconsistent information" about the shooting during their initial investigation, Pelt added. The case is still open.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and a suspect has yet to be identified.
