Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo to Open for Cher in Lubbock

The special guests for Cher's upcoming show in Lubbock have finally been confirmed. Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo will open the Nov. 9 show at the United Supermarkets Arena.

Benatar and Giraldo have roots that predate the launch of MTV; the couple first met in 1979. However, the music video-focused channel's launch on August 1, 1981 helped catapult the duo into millions of homes. The video for Benatar's "You Better Run" was actually the second video ever aired on MTV.

Benatar is best known for classics including "Love is a Battlefield," "Hit Me with Your Best Shot," "Heartbreaker," "Promises In The Dark" and "We Belong." She's won four Grammy Awards during her decades-long career.

Married in 1982, Benatar and Giraldo have one of the most enduring relationships in the music industry.
