‘Support Our First Responders’ – Lubbock LEPC Launches Water Drive
Lubbock County is stepping up to keep our heroes hydrated—and now, it’s your turn to pitch in.
The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) has officially kicked off the 2025 Support Our First Responders Campaign, running now through July 7th. And trust me, when you see Lubbock’s brutal summer heat bearing down on our firefighters, law enforcement, EMS crews, and other first responders—you’ll understand why this campaign is so important.
The Goal
Collect as much bottled water as possible, along with monetary donations, to provide critical hydration and rehabilitation support for those who run toward the danger when the rest of us run away.
This year’s campaign will support:
13 Fire Services Agencies
19 Law Enforcement Agencies
3 EMS Agencies
3 Emergency Management Agencies
2 Volunteer Disaster Response Orgs
1 Public Works Agency
That’s a whole lot of folks working hard in the Texas sun, and they need our help more than ever.

Here’s the Scoop
Businesses and corporate sponsors are encouraged to step up and donate a pallet of bottled water—estimated at about $200 each.
Churches and community groups can organize special offerings to raise money or collect water cases.
Everyday citizens can swing by Market Street at 3405 50th Street (at Indiana Ave) on Saturday, July 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., to drop off bottled water donations.
Why the Extra Push this Year
Rising prices and shrinking donations have made it tough to secure water for the summer season. And with temps already pushing triple digits, that water could be a literal lifesaver.
If you can’t make it in person, monetary donations are welcome by mail:
