Tom Cruise is back as the coolest fighter pilot ever in the long-awaited sequel.

He's been in a movie or TV show that you've seen, and he went to Texas Tech too.

That was quick. Just last week it was reported that Paramount and Skydance were eyeing a trio of actors to potentially play a key role opposite Tom Cruise in Top Gun: Maverick: Miles Teller, Glen Powell and Nicholas Hoult were all in the running for the part of Goose’s son, and it looks like the powers that be have already selected Cruise’s co-pilot.

This movie is real and Tom Cruise shared the first picture from the set to prove it.

Apparently the title ‘Fallout’ is really literal - as in Tom Cruise falls out of a plane at 25,000 feet.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Bride of Frankenstein, the Invisible Man, and a bunch of others will soon be hitting the big screen, all under the Dark Universe umbrella. So, what fits them all together? The plot device — I mean, the Prodigium, of course.

After years of taunting us with the possibility of a (super) late-coming sequel to Top Gun, it’s actually happening. Tom Cruise is back, which guarantees our butts will be in those seats on opening day, no matter what. If you thought they were going to go with a basic title like Top Gun 2 for this major movie event, you were sadly mistaken.

Just yesterday, Tom Cruise himself confirmed that Top Gun 2 is finally, officially, honest-to-goodness-they’re-not-joking-this-time happening. Today, it looks like it’s even closer to reality than we thought, as Oblivion director Joseph Kosinski is reportedly the frontrunner to helm the long-promised sequel to Tony Scott’s 1986 classic — not entirely surprising, since he’s worked with Cruise before.

These actors, singers and athletes don't just do incredible things in their careers, they also do incredible things in their spare time, like save lives.

At this point in his career, there shouldn’t be much cause for behind-the-scenes drama when it comes to Tom Cruise movies. Cruise wants to star in another Jack Reacher movie? Pay the man. Cruise wants to play a special forces operative fighting a centuries-old mummy? Pay the man. Cruise wants to release a movie where all he does is run for two hours? By all that is holy and good in this world, pay the man!
