This past weekend, the fantasy of every small child became a reality for a 6-year-old leukemia survivor in Texas.

Starting Thursday, September 17th, east 50th Street will be reduced to one-lane of traffic in each direction at the railroad crossing west of MLK Jr. Boulevard in Lubbock.

I gave the game a try and don't know if my score is considered good or not, but I did enjoy the experience.

TxDOT crews will be closing the right mainlane along eastbound Marsha Sharp Freeway on Thursday, Jan. 16, so work can begin on a third auxiliary lane.

The Texas Department of Transportation is set to begin a $34 million project in January of 2020 that will make safety improvements to over 27 miles of the I-27 corridor in Lubbock and Hale counties.
