Texas is known for many things, including the phrase, "Everything's bigger in Texas." The phrase is true about many things in the Lone Star State, including its fast food offerings.
A recent survey found Texas to be the No. 1 fast food state in the United States. The study was based on number of chains started in each state, from national chains like Burger King and KFC, to regional chains like Whataburger just in that state. It also went by variety of choices and number of franchises. And finally, the survey looked at deliciousness and uniqueness of the chains' options.
California was ranked No. 2, and our beloved Texas was No. 1, based on the fact that our state's offerings are huge! We boast Whataburger, Burger Street, Golden Chick, Taco Bueno, Taco Cabana, Schlotsky's and Raising Canes.
