Texas Tech Goin’ Band Survives Record-Breaking Heat [Watch]
In addition to the preparations made by the Texas Tech Athletics department, the Goin' Band From Raiderland is also one of the largest groups to prepare for the first home game of the season.
On Tuesday, August 26th, Lubbock set a record high temperature of 109 degrees. At the same time, Texas Tech marching band members were outside working to perfect their performance on the field.
Being a marching band performer is a difficult and athletic adventure, but being in a marching band that practices in West Texas builds character and endurance, to say the least.
In a post to social media, the Goin' Band shared that they worked 10+ hours a day during the hottest week of the year, demonstrating the type of dedication it takes to be a member of a world-class organization.
Seeing and hearing the Goin' Band get ready for football season is just one more reminder that we are only days away from being overwhelmed with RAIDER POWER!!
