In 2014, Texas Tech traveled to Miami for a regional and pulled off the upset win over one-seed Miami. On the adjacent segment of the bracket, the College of Charleston beat the University of Florida, paving the way for Texas Tech to host a Super Regional and advance to the College World Series.

In 2016, Texas Tech beat Dallas Baptist to close out the Lubbock Regional as a National Seed and host East Carolina in a Super Regional in Lubbock before heading to the College World Series.

And now, in 2018, the Duke Blue Devils beat Georgia in back-to-back games to send the Dukies to Lubbock, Texas for a Super Regional, with an opportunity for the Red Raiders to go to the College World Series.

At 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 the NCAA made it official.

Duke and Texas Tech will face off in a best of three series on Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park for the right to go to Omaha.

The Law will be packed on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. and on Sunday at 5 p.m.

Hopefully, it will be empty on Monday afternoon, but, if necessary, the Red Raider faithful will pack the stands for a decisive three against the Blue Devils.
