One of the things that many people appreciate about Lubbock, Texas is affordable living.

I spend a lot of my free time on real estate sites like Zillow, so I tend to come across some interesting listings. Recently, I found some homes that I think look pretty nice for really low prices.

They are mostly older homes located closer to central Lubbock and built between the 1920s and 1960s. They tend to have very distinct features like colorfully painted walls, doors and windows.

I really like the character of these older homes, and most of them seem to have had renovations over the years. Having the older house with a new interior gives you a bit of both worlds, which many people enjoy.

I think these would be great homes for small families or even Texas Tech and Lubbock Christian students looking to live in a house that isn't too far from campus.
