Tornado Watch Issued Until 11 p.m. for the South Plains
The National Weather Service has extended a Tornado Watch that was previously issued for the Texas Panhandle into the South Plains and Permian Basin regions.
The Tornado Watch for the South Plains and Permian Basin is in effect until 11 p.m., and it includes the cities of Lubbock, Plainview, Post, Big Spring, Midland and Odessa.
Severe thunderstorms have already formed in the Panhandle earlier this afternoon, and one has formed west of Plainview as of 3:15 p.m.
