Texas Tech has achieved its highest finish of all-time in the men's Capital One Cup.

According to a TTU Press Release, the Capital One Cup is awarded each year to the nation's top men's and women's athletic programs based on a scoring system that grants points for top-10 finishes in NCAA Division-I championships.

Tech received 36 points for its runner-up finish at the Men's Final Four and added 20 more points from its national title at the Track and Field Outdoor Championships. The men's track and field team tied for 6th at the indoor championships for 5 points and Tech's run to the final four at the College World Series earned them 18 points.

Tech was the only school from Texas to finish among the Top 10.
