Nothing says summer quite like grilling.

Whether you're a grill master or just like a quick meal, you've probably got the basic burger and steak down, but there's so much more you can do with grilling!

United Supermarkets' Corporate Dietician Brenda Garcia was sharing tips for healthy grilling, such as paying attention to the cut of meat you choose. Ribeye, for example, is best kept for special occasions, while sirloin is a leaner meat perfect for everyday meals.

Don't forget you can also toss shrimp, chicken, and fish on the grill. Invest in a meat thermometer and aim for these internal temperatures:

  • Chicken - 165 degrees
  • Pork - 145 degrees
  • Seafood - 145 degrees
  • Red Meat - 145 degrees
  • Kabobs (1-inch cubes) - 150 degrees

You can even toss some fruit and veggies on there, such as:

  • Brussels sprouts snaked with a strip of bacon
  • Zucchini and Squash sliced in large diagonal pieces and seasoned with fresh chopped garlic and parsley
  • Cauliflower steaks seasoned with a chimichurri
  • Sweet Potato sprinkled with cinnamon
  • Cubed Eggplant, tomatoes, and red onion
