Video Shows Intense Flash Flooding in the Dallas Area Last Night
We’ve endured yet another round of wild weather here in the Lone Star State.
Early reports suspect at least three possible tornadoes, but no tornadoes have been confirmed as of this posting. However, high winds caused a lot of damage across the state.
In addition to high winds, the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex endured heavy rain that led to flash flooding throughout the area. WFAA reports first responders in McKinney performed three water rescues due to flooding. In all, four people were safely rescued.
Video shared by Dallas Texas TV on Twitter shows the severity of last night’s flooding. In some cases, city streets looked more like rivers.
The majority of deaths that occur during flash flooding are the result of people driving into floodwaters. When it comes to flash flooding, remember the number one rule if you're driving: turn around, don't drown.
