We usually think of sick days as a HUGE SCAM. Yeah, you use them when you're sick, but you also use them when you're just sick of work.

A new survey by a website called TheFit asked 5,000 people what they did on their last sick day to see just how many people were pulling a scam.

And believe it or not, 84% of people claim their sick day was completely legitimate.  Those 84% say they were actually sick themselves or caring for their sick child the last time they called in sick.

Only 20% of men and 14% of women admit they were lying about being sick during their most recent sick day.

Of the people who faked being sick, the most common excuse was "I wanted a mental health day."  The second-most common excuse was they were recovering from a hangover...third-most common was they had another job interview.
