Wife of Slain Texas Tech Officer Files Wrongful Death Suit
The wife of Floyd East, Jr., the Texas Tech officer who was was killed in a shooting on campus back in 2017, has filed a lawsuit for $1 million or more.
KAMC News reports that Hollis Alvin Daniels III was the one accused in the lawsuit of shooting and killing East.
Daniels was charged with capital murder on October 9th, 2017, the night of the murder. Daniels was taken into custody by East and was brought to the Texas Tech Police Department. Read more on our original story here.
The lawsuit says that Daniels acted with "disregard towards human life."
Daniels remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center and the capital murder charge remains pending.
