There are some things you'll want to know in preparation for the South Plains Fair. Here are our five things you'll need to know for your South Plains Fair Survival Guide.
Parking at the Fair
The earlier you get to the fair the better and easier parking will be for you. The park opens as early as three, but there will always be a full lot no matter the time you go. As long as you don't wait too long you'll always get a good spot. Parking does cost money so do make sure you bring cash or it will be a very long walk for you.

The South Plains Fair offers up the best when it comes to amusement park rides and thrills. The ferris wheel is the old stand by, but the fair also will play host to many rides that will make even the manly of men breakdown and scream. If the rides aren't for you, then your next best option would be the great carnival games. Many will be offered this year in the Midway.

This could be the biggest attraction at the fair for your lunch and dinner crowd. The food at the South Plains Fair is nothing to shy away from. Leave you diet at home and bring your healthy appetite as the fair offers up some of the finest foods you'll taste all year. The list of scrumptious artery clogging food includes corndogs, roasted corn, hamburgers, hot dogs, curly taters, fried cheese, turkey legs and so much more. Top your meal off with some funnel cakes, fried snickers, cotton candy, caramel apples, fried pies or churros. Wash that all back with an ice cold lemonade or root beer and your belly will burst with excitement. Make sure you skip breakfast because you'll want to eat as much as you can.
