LUBBOCK, TX - The American Cancer Society will host a very special event this Saturday, June 18, 2011… The Cattle Baron’s Ball Children’s Round-up. The event will take place at The Science Spectrum. The event will kick off at 11a.m. with events going on until 1p.m.

The goal of the party is to give local children battling and surviving cancer a chance to enjoy       a fun event and feel like normal children. The American Cancer Society wants to help these children by providing them a day filled with entertainment and fun. Families from across West Texas who have undergone cancer treatment at Covenant Health System or UMC Health System will be attending. The event is being underwritten by Betenbough Homes, Lubbock Endodontics, TTHSC School of Medicine, The Shropshire Agency, and UMC Children’s Hospital.

Children and their families will enjoy games, crafts, pizza, a t-shirt and much more!
