There will be baby baskets, pet baskets, Christmas baskets, wreaths, a quilt raffle, food baskets, bake sale, Jams & Jellies, and environmentally friendly items at the 2013 Holiday Extravaganza. The proceeds from the Holiday Extravaganza will benefit The Bridge of Lubbock and Lubbock Meals on Wheels.

There is an immense amount of dedication behind the Holiday Extravaganza. The Community Christian Church volunteers spend hours upon hours making these amazing baskets, wreaths, and gifts for the Holiday season. Every single item they have at this event will make a great gift for friends and loved ones. Not only will they make perfect gifts but through the purchase of a basket the individual will support two local charities.

“Continuing to have funding at The Bridge of Lubbock is vital. Through Community Christian Church, they bless us with a gracious yearly donation that provides The Bridge with ample financial security. Through this financial security we are able to continue to serve and minister to at-risk youth and their families in the East Lubbock community,” says Director of Operations of The Bridge of Lubbock, Hillary Hilderbrand .

Fundraisers such as the Holiday Extravaganza are a primary piece in the continuation of The Bridge of Lubbock’s outreach.  “The Bridge of Lubbock is so blessed to be a part of such a great tradition that Community Christian Church has put on. We realize that they do not have to choose our organization to give to. Therefore, we are extremely grateful to continue to be a recipient of this fundraiser. We know that they work hard to put on this event, and we hope that the community comes out to support them,” said Director of Outreach, Ashlei Watson.

We encourage everyone to attend the Holiday Extravaganza at Community Christian Church. At the Holiday Extravaganza an individual will be able to do some early Christmas shopping and help two wonderful organizations as they strive to make a difference in the Lubbock community.

The Bridge of Lubbock is a privately funded non-profit organization in East Lubbock looking to restore the foundation of hope in the community.  For more information about The Bridge of Lubbock and their outreach call (806) 687-0772 or visit their website at www.bridgeoflubbock.org.
