Lubbock Ranks #2 on ‘InStyle’ Magazine’s List of the Most Beauty-Obsessed Cities

To learn more about the role cosmetics play in American women's lives, InStyle magazine asked FourSquare, a service that allows users to check-in to their online social networks wherever they go, to calculate the number of people checking into beauty-related retail outlets across the country. The magazine then compiled a list of the 10 cities that had the highest volume of check-ins and Lubbock came in at #2!

InStyle poured over upwards of 300,000 beauty-related 'check-ins' to compile their list.

Here's the Top 10:

1. Fresno, California
2. Lubbock, Texas
3. Tulsa, Oklahoma
4. Champaign, IL
5. Las Vegas, NV
6. Atlantic City, NJ
7. San Francisco, CA
8. New York, NY
9. Houston, TX
10. Pensacola, FL
