A pro golfer named Luke List is in Columbus, Ohio this week for a Nationwide Tour event . . . which is kind of like the minor leagues of golf.

Anyway, he did a quick segment for the Golf Channel where he talked about the city of Columbus, and tossed out a few facts.  The problem is, none of the stuff he said was actually TRUE.  And it wasn't a joke.

First he said that, quote, "Ohio was founded in 1812 by Christopher Columbus" . . . which is obviously ridiculous since Columbus died in 1506.  Plus, Ohio was founded in 1803, not 1812.

Then he added that OHIO became the STATE CAPITAL in 1816.  Apparently he meant to say Columbus.  But even if he had, he still would have been wrong, because Columbus became the state capital in 1812, and officially became a CITY in 1816.

Then just for good measure, List said that Ohio State University is the largest university in the U.S. . . . which isn't true.  Arizona State enrolls the most students.
