ABC Rodeo Headed To Levelland

The ABC Rodeo will take the show on the road for 2020.

Well, good for Levelland and I guess okay for Lubbock. I can't see where Levelland will have the hotels and restaurants available to take care of the large crowds brought in by the Rodeo so hopefully, Lubbock will still benefit.

The ABC Rodeo had to make the move after losing it's home in the Lubbock Coliseum and not having the funds or time to get a new venue up and operational. The hotel/motel tax has been put in place and funds are now been collected towards a future rodeo building.

It's hard to not be happy for Levelland; South Plains College has been such an awesome place for so many Lubbockites seeking higher education, but I have to say that someone in Lubbock dropped the ball by making us miss the rodeo, even if it's just for one year.

The ABC Rodeo will take over Levelland's Mallet Event Center April 2nd-t4th. Officials with the rodeo plan no changes other than this temporary location.
