We hear a lot about Buc-ee's here in Texas. Every town wishes they had one. It's a giant roadside spectacle that originated in the Lone Star state and is a definite 'pop in' if you pass one on a road trip.

The thing is, you might walk in to one looking to maybe hit the head and grab a pack of sunflower seeds for the road, but you walk out with Beaver Nuggets. five candy bars, a statue of Willie Nelson, a sombrero and possibly one of these bad boys...

I was on Redditt the other day when I came across this post by Reddit user FBVRer talking about the sandwich. The post included the pictures you see here of the sandwich and had the title: 'Far as really, really fast food options go - Buc-ee's sandwiches are impossible to beat! And no need for no plates!'

The comments were all over the place! Some thought it was a perfectly passable BBQ sandwich, some even called it 'great'. But, there were a few who actually seemed disgusted. I've never personally had one, but it looks fine to me and I'll definitely grab one to try the next time I'm there.

From King_Kooopa:

Slap enough sauce on it and anything tastes good. I am a fan though.

I've definitely found the opposite is true. Their BBQ was not good at all, especially considering they tout it as their specialty.

Have been to Buc-ees many, many times traveling all over here in Texas. Yes, you can get better/cheaper BBQ at the (insert local name) BBQ place down the street. Yes, it's more expensive than the same thing at (insert local name) BBQ place down the street.

Yes, there are a ton of people inside of the building. You're missing the point if you complain about any of these things.

Buc-ees is a gas station. An oversized truck stop. A place that is your one-stop shop while out on the road. It isn't a destination restaurant. It isn't trying to be the best NewQ around. And 99% of the people inside are just wondering around. Have been inside of a Buc-ees hundreds of times, and I've never had to search for parking, wait in line for a bathroom, wait on a food order (depending on what you're ordering), or wait in line for more than a minute or two to check out. All at a place where you can very quickly grab a solid B-grade sandwich/taco/etc, a thing of Meat Church/Kosmos rub, and a 6-pack of local craft beer.

And Riyeko commented:

They're gross. I've had them in two different states and they're just.... Subpar. Bread was hard, bbq was really sweet, meat tasted burned and dry. Both times.

One reviewer on YouTube had this to say...

What do YOU think? Would you give it a shot?
