If Lubbock Were on the Other Side of Earth, We Would Be in Africa

No wonder its so freakin' hot here sometimes! If you looked at a map of America laid over the other side of the world, You'd be very surprised to see how it all lines up.

A website named MapMania did just that. And depending on how far East or West you slide the America map, Lubbock would either be in Tunisia, which is in North Africa, or the Mediterranean Sea. So no wonder it feel so hot here. We're at the same latitude as Baghdad, Iraq. And many other middle eastern places. And we're much further south than most of Europe.

For fun, if you're a geek like me, you can just go to Google Maps and draw a straight line form all kinds of places in America and see where they line up with other parts of Earth. I know I learned something new.
