I am so sad to announce a wonderful coffee shop out in Slaton has posted that they are closing its doors.

I met Karen Hybner back when I was doing Trends and Friends and we featured her shop. She has such a cute place and a wonderful spirit.

Karen I am so sorry to you and Eric both about this announcement. If y'all haven't been out to their shop, Humble Grounds Cafe in Slaton you need to. They have such good coffee that will blow your mind.

This was a dream for Karen for 20 years and she finally made this community gathering place a reality. It was a place to get good coffee, make your mornings better, and even hang out. They did so many cool events and really cared about the people.

Karen told me, "we have been incredibly blessed by this shop. Lots of new friends and connections to our community. We truly enjoyed it while it lasted and look forward to what God has for us in the future. Thanks for all your support, we will continue to pray for each of you."

All their drinks are local and so different and unique. They serve up coffee, tea and hot chocolate. They even offer some keto and gluten-free treats. They have really cool artwork and pieces for sale too.

They will be closing on July 4th due to slow sales. So please go check them out while you can. It will definitely be worth it. Slaton is a very special down and has some really cool things you should check out on the square while you are there.

They are located at 152 S. 8th Street Slaton, TX 79364 or you can find out more about them on their website. They are open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. They are also open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The 13 Best Hole in the Wall Restaurants on 50th Street in Lubbock

These buildings might be unassuming from the outside, but the kitchens absolutely know what's going on. I wasn't as strict on this one as I was on my 34th Street version which you can read if you keep scrolling, but I defend my choices below. If you can get a cash loan in the same strip mall as your pizza, it might be a Hole in the Wall.
