[WATCH] Patrick Mahomes Reveals His Favorite Lubbock Bar

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes told ESPN.com reporter James Trotter in 2016 that when he was a Texas Tech student, he loved eating at Spanky's, a popular Lubbock restaurant known for its badass fried cheese and huge burgers. It turns out, Spanky's isn't his only favorite place in town for food and drinks.

In a recent press conference, popular TikTok user @JoBonham had the opportunity to ask Mahomes what his favorite thing to order from Chimy's was. Patrick admitted that he didn't go to Chimy's and that he preferred kicking back at Mesquites Bar & Grill with a Coors Light. Doesn't sound too bad, huh?

Mesquites Bar & Grill is located right by Texas Tech at 2419 Broadway Street. If you've never had the opportunity to go in for a couple of drinks and some excellent food, the time is now!

I actually worked at Mesquites briefly around 2009. It was always busy and full of regulars. I think my favorite thing on the menu is probably the quesadillas.

It seems like Patrick Mahomes has pretty good taste to me. I don't know much about sports, but anyone who likes fried cheese and beer is alright in my book.
