Baseball America has put out a mid-season list of prospects for the Texas Rangers and Josh Jung has gone directly to the top of the list. Just weeks into his tenure as a Ranger Josh Jung is listed as the 2nd overall prospect in the system behind Hans Crouse.

Fellow 2019 draftee and former Baylor infielder Davis Wendzel checks in at number 12.

You can see the entire list here but it's behind a paywall.

If you don't want to slide behind a paywall FanGraphs has Josh Jung at 5th overall in the Rangers system behind Cole Winn, Leody Taveras, Nick Solak and Bubba Thompson.

5th or 2nd, either place is a great spot to be. This doesn't mean he's the next guy to get called up to the big leagues, he's projected for 2022, but it is great for two respected publications to have Jung as a big piece in the Rangers future.
