Levelland Man Sentenced to 55 Years in Prison for May 2020 Shooting

A Levelland man was sentenced to 55 years in prison for the shooting death of 31 year-old Anthony Valderas Delgado.
The incident occurred on May 2nd, 2020, when Levelland Police responded to a shooting. At approximately 7 p.m., officers went to the 400 block of North Cedar.
Upon arrival, Delgado was found with a gunshot wound and was taken to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock where he later died.
An investigation ensued and during the process, 25 year-old Brennan Gage Guerra confessed to shooting Delgado. Guerra was taken into custody and charged with the murder of Delgado, as well as theft of firearm, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
In addition to the 55 year prison sentence, Guerra will have to pay a $10,000 fine.
