Levelland Police are Thanking the Community for Their Recent Support
Back on Thursday, July 15th, Levelland Police and the Lubbock Police Department SWAT Team were involved in a 10-hour standoff, and Levelland PD is now thanking the community for their supporting of wounded officers.
4 officers were injured in the standoff and one officer, Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputy Sgt. Josh Bartlett, was killed. Sgt. Shawn Wilson was one of the officers wounded.

In related news, the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office has announced funeral services for the late Sgt. Bartlett.
A visitation for law enforcement only will be taking place on Thursday, July 22nd at Resthaven Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Then, the next day, a memorial service will take place at Trinity Church, located at 7002 Canton Avenue, starting at 10 a.m.
Because of this memorial service, the Lubbock County Courthouse will be closed that Friday, July 23rd to allow courthouse personnel the opportunity to attend Sgt. Bartlett's memorial service.
