Lubbock’s Ride for the Blue Is Saturday, July 25th
Lubbock's Ride for the Blue happens this Saturday, July 25th. The event kicks off at the South Plains Mall (6002 Slide Road) at 10:30 a.m., in support of all local law enforcement, according to KLBK news.
The Ladies of West Texas Law Enforcement invites citizens to join them in their ride event to support West Texas law enforcement. These brave men and women put their lives on the line for us every day. This is a tremendous opportunity to come together in a show of support.
You don't need a motorcycle to join in the ride. You can join in with your car or your muscle car. It's free to participate.
Things will get underway at the South Plains Mall in the parking lot area between Premiere Cinemas and Home Depot at 10 a.m., and the parade of riders expects to depart the mall at 10:30 a.m. The ride will travel across Lubbock to downtown and the Lubbock Police Department, then will head to its terminus: the Lubbock Regional Public Memorial.
If you don't want to join in the ride, you can still get out to show your support at the South Plains Mall parking lot Saturday morning or along the route downtown. You can wear your blue, make posters, and decorate your car.
Be aware to keep with your group and observe social distancing and mask wearing policies.
