Mark Adams Named Associated Press Big 12 Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year
It's awards season for college basketball and Texas Tech's Mark Adams is taking home some hardware.
After leading the Red Raiders to a 23-8 record (12-6 in the Big 12 conference) in his first season as head coach, Adams has been named the Associated Press Big 12 Men's Basketball Coach of the Year. Adams received 8 first place votes for the honor, edging out Baylor's Scott Drew, who received 7 first place votes.

Other Big 12 AP Awards include: Kansas senior guard Ochai Agbaji being the unanimous pick as The Associated Press Big 12 Player of the Year. And Iowa State's Izaiah Brockington was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year.
