Movies That Should Not Be Made: There’s a Big Screen Version of “Good Times” in the Works
It's been a long time since we've been outraged enough by Hollywood's idiocy to target a MOVIE THAT SHOULD NOT BE MADE but I think I've got a prime candidate today.
Sony is actually working on a big-screen version of the classic '70s sitcom "Good Times", the story of a poor black family struggling to "keep their heads above water" and starring the incomparable Jimmie J.J. Walker!!!
This is obviously a HORRIBLE idea, and Hollywood will just screw it up like they do with 99% of the remakes that infest theaters these days.
Not on board with me yet? You will be when you hear the 'TWO REASONS WHY A "GOOD TIMES" MOVIE SHOULD NOT BE MADE':
#1.) You know it's just gonna be full of Wayanses. Aren't you tired of the Wayanses yet?
#2.) In a post-9/11 world, how long do you think a dark-skinned young man can run around a major city yelling "DY-NO-MITE" without either ending up in Guantanamo or being taken out by a drone?
Here's the original opening to the show:
