One Dog and One Cat are Dead After a House Fire in Lubbock

Lubbock Fire Rescue has confirmed that a dog and a cat have died following a house fire in Lubbock.
KAMC News reports that the fire happened in the 2500 block of 36th Street on Thursday, October 6th. The fire started at around 12:30 p.m.
A spokesperson with LFR reported that the fire had been extinguished by 1:20 p.m.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. So far, all that is known about the fire is that it started in the kitchen of the home. No other injuries or fatalities were reported.
