Lubbock Human Trafficking Sting Operation Results in 27 Arrests
The Lubbock Police Department revealed in a statement that a human trafficking operation was conducted towards the end of April. That human trafficking operation was a multi-agency sting involving the Lubbock Police Departments Special Operations Division, Lubbock County Sheriff's Office, Texas Department of Public Safety and Lubbock Fire Department.
Over the course of a little over two days, April 28 and 29, the sting operation was able to arrest 27 people in total more more than just sex crimes. Some of those arrest did include 17 felony arrests for Solicitation of Prostitution, seven for prostitution, and some varying drug charges.
A few of those arrested had previously been arrested for the same charges in prior human trafficking operations. In the state of Texas Soliciting Prostitution is considered a state jail felony which if convicted could result in a maximum of two years in prison along with a $10,000.A complete list of those that were arrested in the multi-agency sting operation can be found below along with a list of their charges.
