Lubbock police are still searching for the suspect that led officers on a vehicle chase.

LPD were initially called to a business in the 2500 block of 50th Street for reports of fraud. This was at around 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 7th. On arrival, officers found the suspect fleeing in a stolen vehicle, prompting a chase.

While fleeing from officers, the suspect collided into a passenger car heading north on University. The driver of the passenger car, 47-year-old Rita Diaz, was transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries.

The suspect continued to travel over the center median and into an alley in the 2500 block of 47th Street. He lost control and collided into a utility pole and fence before fleeing on foot. The only description of the suspect police were able to provide was that he was a Hispanic male.
