On Tuesday, March 17th, the South Plains Food Bank issued a statement on social media asking visitors to be responsible and considerate during this time.

The South Plains Food Bank is still collecting canned, and non-perishable, food items at the United Supermarkets location at 82nd Street and Frankford Avenue.
United Supermarkets recently teamed up with the South Plains Food Bank to “Wreck Hunger” by hosting a 30-hour, tailgate-themed food drive at its 19thand Quaker Market Street location. Almost 30,000 meals were donated to the food bank in result of the drive. United donated an additional $25,000 to the food bank.
