Brenda Duby corporate dietitian with United Supermarkets joined us this week to discuss a food item that many still don't know what to do with and that item is, Asparagus.

If you are like me you know that Asparagus is green and often comes with steak and that's about all you may know, again if you are like me. According to Duby though, Asparagus has a lot of health benefits. For instance it's a great source of vitamins like vitamin A,C,and E. It also helps to fight and prevent cancer and it can lower your blood pressure. Asparagus can also help you get rid of excess fluid and salt in your body.
