It's a big year for the Lubbock Fall Arts and Crafts Festival at the Lubbock Garden and Art Center (4215 University Avenue in Clapp Park) according to the City of Lubbock's website. We're very happy that this tremendous event will be happening this year as planned on Saturday, September 12th.

This all-day event marks the festival's 50th year. It's absolutely free and is open to the public. This year, due to COVID-19 face masks are required for everyone who wishes to attend including all vendors

We can look forward to tons of beautiful art, crafts and more to explore and to shop. There will be plenty to enjoy for the whole family.

We've had so many events canceled due to COVID-19, so this is something that offers a wonderful opportunity to get the family together for a day of fresh air. Previous years have included live music, beautiful art, original recipe jams and other fun home made food items.

We can also look forward to exploring a variety of food vendors! Sit back and relax at a table under a tree with the wonderful green sprawling wide-open spaces of Clapp Park to enjoy. After being cooped up and having so many of our favorite outings canceled this year this is a welcome treat!

So wear comfortable shoes and plan to make a day of it. The festival kicks off bright and early at 9 am and rolls right through the afternoon until 5 pm.

It's not too late to enter and set up a booth! The registration deadline is September 4th.
