Heart month is beginning to wrap up but that doesn't mean being heart healthy shouldn't continue into March. Brenda Garcia with United Supermarkets joined me today to discuss one item that is great for snacking and great for your health.

According to Garcia, pistachios are a great way to stay heart healthy. Garcia says that pistachios make great snacks and come out to about 120 calories per serving. 49 shelled pistachios come out to one serving and they can be a really good filling snack. Pistachios are a great source of protein, fiber, B-6, and more.

Not only can you eat pistachios out of the bag, but Garcia says they go great on salads and even crushed up on chocolate covered strawberries.
