The Science of Ice Cream for National Ice Cream Day
I was never aware that you could use science to make tasty ice cream. And this weekend, you can see how it is done for yourself at the Science Spectrum!
From The Science Spectrum:
The Science Spectrum will be celebrating the tradition by putting a "fun science spin" on the event Sunday, July 16th from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. in its lobby with free super cold show demonstrations, where the science of cold, states of matters, and the properties of liquid nitrogen, one the coldest known substances, will be discussed. Demonstrations will be at 2:15 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. See the science behind how matter changes in a super cold environment within seconds!
They will be using fresh ingredients to make this special ice cream and, of course, the National Ice Cream Day events are free to the public (OMNI Theater and regular exhibits will still be charged).
So why not take the kiddos, young and old, and try a new way of making, and eating, ice cream?
