Traffic Stop Turned Chase Ends With LCSO Deputies Injured
Two Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies were injured in a traffic stop turned chase the night of Thursday, July 14th.
KAMC News reports that it began when the Texas Anti-Gang Center attempted to stop a vehicle just before midnight near 19th Street and Aberdeen Avenue. The suspect driver, however, fled from officers.
Lubbock Police attempted to stop the suspect with a low speed collision, but the suspect continued fleeing, eventually ramming 2 Lubbock County Sheriff's Deputies. The deputies and the suspect all suffered moderate injuries and were transported to University Medical Center. The morning after the incident, the 2 deputies were said to be home and resting.
3 people total were taken into custody following the chase. The identities of the suspects have not yet been released.
