Two People Injured in Lubbock Police Car Chase
Lubbock police were led on a short car chase on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, and ended up making multiple arrests.
According to a police report, an officer observed a vehicle run a red light at the intersection of Marsha Sharp Freeway and University Avenue at about 7:30 p.m.
When the officer tried to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle swerved into traffic and nearly struck several vehicles. During the car chase, the suspect drove through the 100 block of Akron Avenue and struck a fence.
The suspect continued to evade police until they collided with a parked vehicle in the 2800 block of 1st Place. Police say 4 people were found inside the vehicle; one with moderate injuries from the accident and one with minor injuries.
According to one news source, all 4 suspects were arrest but have not been identified. Lubbock police are still investigating.
