United Supermarkets Launches Flood Relief Fundraiser for Central Texas
When disaster strikes in Texas, West Texans step up—and that’s exactly what The United Family is doing with a new company-wide flood relief campaign aimed at helping our neighbors hit hard by the devastating Central Texas floods.
Donate-at-the-Register
United Supermarkets, Market Street, Albertsons Market, and Amigos locations across Texas and New Mexico will launch a donate-at-the-register fundraiser for the victims of the catastrophic flooding that struck over the Fourth of July weekend.
The proceeds will directly support relief efforts through the San Angelo Area Foundation and the Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country’s Kerr County Flood Relief Fund, both of which are already working on the ground.

United Steps Up
And The United Family isn’t just asking for help—they’re leading by example, kicking things off with a $10,000 donation of their own.
Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family said via press release:
Words cannot adequately describe the devastation we are seeing from this event. We continue to pray for all of our fellow Texans who these floods have impacted, especially the families who have lost loved ones.
If you’re headed to the store, giving back is easy. Just let your cashier know you’d like to donate—or ask to add a donation when shopping online or through the app. You can also scan a QR code in-store to donate directly to the Albertsons Foundation Flood Relief Fund.
When Can You Participate?
Here’s when the campaign runs in each region:
Lubbock, Slaton, Abilene, DFW & Wichita Falls stores: July 8–13
All other Texas and New Mexico stores: July 8–20
The fundraising effort comes after severe thunderstorms triggered catastrophic flash flooding in Central Texas, leading to more than 100 confirmed deaths, including at least 27 children and staff members from Camp Mystic—a tragedy that’s shaken the entire state.

Once again, United is proving that grocery stores aren’t just places to buy bread and eggs—they’re part of the fabric of our communities.
So if you want to help, all you have to do is say the word at checkout. A little change can make a big difference.
