Nothing says summer like a scoop of vanilla ice cream with fresh peaches.

Unless, it's grilled peaches over pork chops or grilled chicken. Or any number of great ways to serve up the sweet, juicy fruit. United Supermarkets corporate dietitian Brenda Garcia says United Supermarkets are stocking local peaches from Idalou.

Peaches are an excellent source of vitamin C (support a healthy immune system), lutein (support eye health), vitamin A and beta carotene. They also help with good hydration. So grab a bunch while they are in season, and let them ripen on your counter before putting in the refrigerator until you're ready to eat them.
