World-Renowned Author Dr. Kevin Leman Speaking in Lubbock

One of the foremost authorities on marriage, parenting and raising your children with authority without being an authoritarian, Dr. Kevin Leman, will be in Lubbock for the Relentless 2016 Marriage & Family Conference, Friday, January 29 and Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Rock City Events Center, 5911 4th St.

The conference is free both days and child care is just $5 per child with a limit of three children per family.

Friday night's conference is from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and will focus on helping you understand the man or woman in your life with live music and appetizers also available.

Saturday's conference is from 9 a.m. to noon, with Dr. Leman sharing ways to parent the powerful child along with live music and a light breakfast.

Dr. Leman has been on Oprah Winfrey's show five times and was the marriage and parenting consultant on Good Morning America as well as currently being a guest on Fox News, CNN and The View.

He's also written countless books, many best-sellers, addressing marriage, parenting and even birth order.

So, how do you raise your kids depending on their birth order and the birth order of the parents? I asked Dr. Leman where I fit in the birth order. I have 4 four older brothers and two younger brothers and I'm the only girl. His response? "Oh my! Can I pray for your husband right now?"

Dr. Leman definitely has a great sense of humor as well as expertise. I also posed the situation of Lubbock wives asking their their husbands to attend the conference. His response is hysterical and dead-on.
