Lynyrd Skynyrd were confirmed as headlines of the Southern Rock Cruise 2019, which sails from Tampa on Jan. 6, 2019, and visits Cosumel and Progreso, Mexico, before returning on Jan. 12.

Also on the bill are Dickey Betts, Blackberry Smoke, Marshall Tucker Band, Molly Hatchet, the Kentucky Headhunters and more.

The cruise takes place almost a month after the last listed date on Skynyrd’s farewell tour, which had originally been set to end in their hometown of Jacksonville, Fla., on Sept. 2 before shows were added up to Dec. 8. Cruise handlers StarVista LIVE reported that, while the Last of the Street Survivors road trip was being staged at large venues across the U.S., the cruise was the only opportunity to see the band in a more intimate setting.

The band had also taken part in the inaugural festival earlier this year.

“We love playing for thousands of screaming fans at some of the most fantastic venues in the country,” singer Johnny Van Zant said. “But we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play for 2,000 people again at this special event for the Southern Rock Cruise. It is always a blast to play more intimate shows and get up close and personal with our fans is an added bonus.”

“We are also thrilled to have Dickey Betts, as well as some of the next generation of southern rock stars with us, including Blackberry Smoke," StarVista LIVE’s Mike Jason added. "This lineup defines southern rock, and for music fans to see this many acts in such an intimate setting is going to be a blast.”

The cruise is set to feature “all the best performances, great interactions with the superstars of southern rock plus the very best dining and service, all included in the cost of a stateroom. Many celebrity interactive events are planned, including special Q&A sessions, panel discussions, guitar seminars and more.”
